The In Bloom organisation has been working for over twenty years to make Reading a more attractive, colourful place to visit and live in. (Sourced from Living Reading.)
And everyone is looking forward to a milestone year in the growth of Reading in Bloom this summer.

As times have changed so has In Bloom: sustainabilty, a cleaner environment and more community involvement are all key components of the modern competition.

So this year it is no surprise to see the committee working closely with Reading's Business Improvement District to deliver outstanding displays in the town centre, and with the Reading Borough Council parks team on displays in our parks, roundabouts and roadsides.

In addition, the committee's Patron Jessica Cecil has provided core sponsorship and funded displays on Reading and Caversham Bridges.

Reading in Bloom chairwoman, Cllr Jeanette Skeats, worked closely with contractor Windowflowers to secure the displays and ensure all the work was competed in good time for the visit of the regional Thames and Chilterns In Bloom judges on July 7th (when the town defends its Best City title).
