A development consultancy practice has announced a new equity director for its Reading office.
Peter Brett Associates (PBA) announced on 6 April 2016 that Glen Player had joined its senior civil engineering team.
Player will be responsible for building on the firm’s involvement with major infrastructure projects in the area, which to date have included Christchurch Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge, Reading Station’s public realm and the regeneration of the Station Hill area.
“With his considerable experience, Glen will focus on building our market share of some of the major transport construction projects that have been committed by government in recent announcements, and in leading, growing and developing our civil engineering practice,” said PBA partner Scott Witchalls.
Player has a long experience in managing civil engineering and transportation projects for clients in the public and private sectors, including Highways England, the Department for Transport and Network Rail.
Before joining PBA, he was responsible for the management and leadership of WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff’s civil engineering business in the south of England.
Prior to that, he spent 10 years as director of professional services at Balfour Beatty’s civil engineering team.
“I am looking forward to helping the practice develop and contributing to its wider strategic aims and objectives,” said Glen. “I bring a strong project and client-focused approach, building long-term relationships with clients and strategic partners – and will use this approach to support and enhance PBA’s already excellent reputation in the market.”
