Reading is on the Transport for London map for the first time in history.

Crossrail, recently renamed the ‘Elizabeth Line’ after the Queen, made the Berkshire town’s name appear on the capital map as the final station of the Western section.

Reading station will start being served by the new line in December 2019, when two trains an hour will allow passengers to travel right through central London without having to change train.
