Permission granted for logistics centre

Evander Properties has secured planning permission to develop up to 24,150sq m of distribution warehouse accommodation at Island Road in Reading.

The site (map above) is an established centre for urban logistics operators and occupiers that benefit from easy access to Junction 11 of the M4 and the wider Thames Valley network. 

The area is home to Tesco, Costco, BMW, GeoPost and Jaguar Land Rover.

Agents GVA are marketing the site on behalf of Evander, funded by Rockspring Property Investment Management. 

Evander director, Neil Dickinson, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Reading Borough Council to deliver a satisfactory consent at this prominent location that will serve Reading and the wider M4 Thames Valley market.
