The Reading Contemporary Art Fair 2010 explodes at Rivermead Leisure Centre on April 24 and 25 and promises to be a vibrant look at the best contemporary art.

But, true to its theme ‘art for all’, the pieces on show will not just be for connoisseurs of the art scene but for the amateur art enthusiast too.

Eighty contemporary artists will show their work at the event and many will be around to explain the ideas and themes that inspired them.

Local artists will be taking part, such as Barbara Newcomb – a Reading-based print maker whose permanent collections are held at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
