Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) members have seen two thirds of their applications for funding from the government's £190 million Local Pinch Point Fund approved.

The LEP said member authorities submitted nine funding bids for a second tranche of cash from the fund, of which six were successful.

It said that the combined cash allocation was £13.3 million to be used for tackling barriers to growth on the local highway network.

Among the schemes granted approval are Reading Bridge structural improvements and traffic management, and congestion relief on the A33.
