Apple heads for Stadium Way

Berkshire appliance specialist Apple Electrics is moving to a new base at Stadium Way near Reading town centre.

The business has signed a 15-year lease on a unit at Stadium Trade and Business Park - owned by the Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund, a £150m joint venture between Salmon Harvester Properties and NFU Mutual.

Salmon Harvester asset manager James Ansher said Apple's decision to relocate was an "expression of confidence" in the site and showed "strong demand from local and national companies for trade accommodation in west Reading".

Apple Electrics sells and repairs domestic appliances and has operated throughout Berkshire for more than 30 years. It is moving to the unit to consolidate from three sites on Oxford Road.

Among the tenants it is joining are Screwfix, Plumb Centre, Halfords Autocentres Benchmark Kitchens, Mr Clutch Autocentre, and Howdens.
