The mayor of Reading joined volunteers to help revive a streatch of the River Thames in Caversham.

Councillor Gul launched a new upper Thames volunteer programme, run by the charity Thames21, to help manage vegetation, clear litter and improve wildlife habitats.
The project, supported by the Environment Agency, will initially be run as a one-year pilot
