Thames Water to revise Reading housing plan

Thames Water has announced that it will draw up new plans for a housing development on the Bath Road Reservoir site in Reading.

The company’s appeal against Reading Borough Council’s refusal to approve an application for 96 homes on the site was defeated at a planning appeal which reported in January.

Thames Water's revised plans include a reduction in height of the buildings and fewer flats, which in the original plans numbered 96. The Grade II-listed water tower would be retained and protected.
