Jacqueline Bisset gets her way at last with planning permission for another house

Hollywood actress Jacqueline Bisset has finally won permission to build a house next to her 17th Century country cottage near Reading after scaling down her original planning proposal. (Story sourced from Daily Mail)
The beauty, now 64, had wanted to build a two-storey detached house and garage in the garden of her picturesque Grade II listed black and white thatched cottage in Tilehurst, Berkshire, which was her childhood home.

This was rejected by West Berkshire Council earlier this year after planning officers said that the development would be out of keeping with the surrounding cottages and bungalows and result in an unacceptable loss of light for the neighbouring properties. Beverly Hills-based Jacqueline, who played Steve McQueen's girlfriend in Bullitt and is godmother to Angelina Jolie, resubmitted a plan for a one-storey house and garage and is now hoping for a quick sale.
