The proposed Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for "Thames Valley Berkshire" has won government approval.

The news follows an announcement in June that regional development agencies are to be abolished and that local authorities and businesses will be allowed to establish Local Enterprise Partnerships to drive economic growth and support local economies.

The proposal is posted here and was submitted to government on September 4th.
